McNabney Family History Narrative

For this client, I worked my way backwards through seven generations until I found the Irish immigrant ancestor who arrived in New York Harbor with his wife and 10 children about 1825.

While researching the name distribution of the surname McNabney, I was able to determine that the most likely place of origin was Northern Ireland. Early Irish genealogical records are somewhat scarce, but I was able to put a list of possible family connections together as far as who the father of the immigrant ancestor was in Northern Ireland, and in what county they lived.

I traced the family’s migration from Ireland to New York, Ohio and finally, Indiana. Using various documentation and sources of information, I was able to discover occupations, birth dates, marriage dates, death dates, cemeteries where the family was buried, headstone photos, archived newspaper articles, Civil War service records, WW II military service information, and census information.

After researching and collating over 230 years of McNabney family history, I had the results professionally published in an easy to read, easy to follow format. The bound, hard-cover family narrative can be shared and enjoyed for generations to come.
